Council for National Parks
In 1936 various bodies including the Council for the Preservation of Rural England set up a Standing Committee on National Parks. In 1977 the body then became the Council for National Parks and from 2008 has been known as the Campaign for National Parks. The CNP is a UK registered charity which campaigns to protect and promote National Parks for the benefit and quiet enjoyment of all.
