As part of our Waters of Exmoor campaign, we warmly invite you to an evening with Dr Dan Osmond, who will explore the future of Salmon on Exmoor.
Dr Dan Osmond is a Senior Fisheries Scientist at Westcountry Rivers Trust and Research Associate with the Molecular Ecology and Evolution group at the University of Exeter. His academic background is in understanding salmonid populations, which is now applied to trying to improve the health of rivers in southwest England to the benefit of their fish. When not working, he is a keen angler on the Exe and writes for angling publications.
This is going to be a fantastic evening as we learn more from Dr Dan about the history of Salmon on Exmoor, what threatens them, and what needs to change to allow populations to thrive once again.
