Please join knowledgeable walk leader Nigel Hester to the deserted medieval settlement on Ley Hill, excavated during archaeological evaluation work for the National Trust. There are the remains of a hamlet of seven buildings, surviving as low stony banks, though no documented history survives. Other parts of Horner Wood will be explored, with the opportunity to hear and see breeding birds that migrate here each year from Africa.
