Community Supporters
Our community supporters help us in our work to promote and protect the unique qualities of Exmoor. Many of them operate within Exmoor National Park and contribute in helping the area thrive both economically and socially. Please support them in turn, if you are able, and remember to mention the Exmoor Society when you do!
A May’s Farm
A May’s Farm officially came into being in late 2021 when we bought our own farm, but really it has been developing for as long as we have been on Exmoor together. We are Alex and Anne May and we’re proud to share our little part of Exmoor and what we grow on it with you. We farm beef cattle, sheep and native breed pigs on rotational grazing systems. Homegrown marbled and tender beef, grass fed lamb and native breed pork
We farm Slattenslade Farm in Woody Bay with Alex’s father and we own Silkenworthy Farm near Blackmoor Gate, a very exciting purchase for us in 2021. Alex also manages two farms, Aclands and Chapman Barrows, for a family firm.
