Key Information:
Join our walk leader Brian Scott for a historic walk around Luxborough using notes by EF Williams.
100 years of farming in Luxborough. The Scott family probably came to Luxborough from North Devon in the 16th century, and members of the family worked as shepherds for the Knights. The family ended up at Butcher’s Farm in the 1920s when Chargot Estate was sold. A walk through a remote Exmoor village with stories of mining, timber – and bombs!
