Join us for a very special evening as we celebrate the winners of our Alfred Vowles Photography Competition!
We will showcase all the wonderful entries received on the town hall’s big screen and enjoy a talk by 2026 judge and professional photographer Rupert Smith.
Rupert is a wildlife cameraman, photographer and film-maker based on Exmoor. He has credits for over 50 TV programs on BBC2, BBC4, ITV, C4 and others. For the last 10 years, he has also been running wildlife photography workshops on Exmoor to teach, inspire, and help more people learn not only about wildlife and photography, but also how we can all be respectful of the world we live in.
His wildlife photography is all of wild animals and birds, and he believes tracking the wildlife, learning about it and respecting it is just as important as “getting the shot”. Through this approach, all of his images from Exmoor and beyond are unique, and have helped him gain a greater understanding of wildlife behaviour and appreciate the animals, birds and reptiles that all share their natural space with us.
Do join us for an evening of stunning imagery, showing Exmoor at its best and maybe even pick up a few tips on how to achieve better images yourself. The perfect antidote to the darker evenings and colder Exmoor weather!
