Archived: Exmoor Reviews

The Exmoor Review is our flagship journal, published every November.

The purpose of The Exmoor Review is to reflect Exmoor in all its infinite variety as a beautiful living landscape made – and still being made – by nature, the land itself, and the people who have lived and worked on it through many centuries. It is very highly regarded as a historic record of Exmoor and is posted to members every year. The current editor is Kate O’Sullivan.

The first issue appeared in 1959, within a year of the founding of the Society. All 66 volumes of The Exmoor Review are held in our archive and can be viewed by appointment with our archive team. Below we have included a link to our Exmoor Review Index. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of Dr Sean Beer, this index allows you to search for the location of specific articles, either by topic or by author. If you would like to view a copy of an article, please reach out to info@exmoorsociety.com and we will be glad to help you.
