We are thrilled to announce the winners of the 2024 Pinnacle Award, Alicia Hockin and Fran Bullard! Both Alicia and Fran really impressed the judges with their businesses and we are delighted that this award will contribute towards the future success of their inspiring ventures.
Alicia Hockin, founder of Moor Outdoor CIC, has dedicated herself to empowering children through cycling. “Cycling gives a brilliant sense of freedom and independence and is an important life skill, especially living on Exmoor,” she explained to the judges. Alicia’s mission is to ensure that all children, regardless of their circumstances, have access to bicycles and the opportunity to learn to ride and progress in a sport that she is passionate about. Fran Bullard’s idea is quite different. She has developed a wonderful rare breed poultry business, selling hatching and eating eggs, chicks, point of lay birds and breeding groups. The award will enable Fran to expand and improve her facilities, and she hopes one day to run educational workshops and hands-on experiences for the public to learn about poultry care and management.
