Exmoor comes to town

Last week Exmoor went to Westminster. The Taste of Exmoor event showcased the very best producers, suppliers and crafts people working on Exmoor - one of whom is Exmoor Society trustee Anne May.

Anne and her husband farm near Woody Bay, and she brought along their prime beef, pork and lamb for people to taste. Both she and Katherine Williams, manager of the Exmoor Hill Farming Network, produced plate after plate of delicious canapes – eaten by hungry parliamentarians as quickly as they produced them. The event was hosted and supported by the MPs for Bridgewater and West Somerset, Ian Liddell-Grainger, and North Devon, Selaine Saxby. Pictured above with food critic William Sitwell, they agreed it was a wonderful (if exhausting) experience and an amazing opportunity to show what Exmoor producers have to offer.
