Take action to protect and conserve the Exmoor National Park:

Nigel Phillips Talk – Wednesday 14th June @ 6.30pm

Join us for a talk, book signing and Q&A session with local conservationist and writer Nigel Phillips on Wed 15th June @ 6.30pm at our Dulverton office.

Somerset’s coast runs from the River Avon, just north of Portishead, south and west for 64 miles to the remote beach at Glenthorne on the Devon border.

Join Nigel on his talk that will explore the wonderful and very varied wildlife found along Exmoor’s coast, on the cliffs and in rock pools. Nigel is a celebrated local conservationist, who launched his book last year ‘The Nature of Somerset’s Coast’.

BOOKING ESSENTIAL – visit www.exmoor.society/events or ring the office on 01398 323335.

The archive team have been working hard on our Hope Bourne Collection in recent months – supporting author Sara Hudston with her new book , “A Life Outside – Hope Bourne on Exmoor”, that will be published by the Society this November.
The archive in its current form was set up by Archivist Dr Helen Blackman, but for the last 8 years has been run by an enthusiastic group of volunteers. Meet three of our regular team...James, Caroline, and Janet!
We are deeply concerned by a recent decision by Defra to withdraw the proposed species-rich grassland option (GRH6) from the Sustainable Farming Incentive, due to reopen in June.
