Take action to protect and conserve the Exmoor National Park:

The Planning and Infrastructure Bill

We have joined other conservation groups in voicing our profound concern about some of the measures in the Planning and Infrastructure Bill. Designed to get Britain building again and deliver economic growth, proposals in Part 3 of the Bill risk undermining vital nature protections in National Parks and other areas of the countryside across England. For National Parks and National Landscapes, this is critical because these contain over half of England’s protected sites, including special areas of conservation in the New Forest, the Broads, Exmoor Heaths, temperate rainforest in the Lake District and Dartmoor’s woods and heath.

We are asking for the government to amend the Planning and Infrastructure Bill to safeguard nature, or if the changes are not forthcoming, to pause it completely until these problems can be fixed and nature properly protected.
