Linda Blanchard (Tansley) started her career as an archaeologist working across the UK for nearly twenty years. Family commitments and a move to West Exmoor meant a change in career. She work on sustainable and community initiatives for the North Devon Council for a few years before taking up post as the Manager of the North Devon Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty. After retirement she became a State Appointee to the management board of Exmoor National Park where she served for 10 years. She retains her interest in the historic environment through her work with North Devon Archaeological Society and with the Museum of Barnstaple and North Devon.
