Take action to protect and conserve the Exmoor National Park:
Upcoming Exmoor Event:

Exmoor Society AGM

Event Information:

We warmly invite you to our AGM, which will be held at 10.30 am on Saturday 18th October at Dulverton Town Hall.

We’ll review the year and celebrate the winners of our annual awards, including the Pinnacle Award, Coleridge Poetry Prize, Founders’ Award, Conservation Award, and Archive Award.

We are also delighted to welcome Dr Laurence Couldrick, CEO of the Westcountry Rivers Trust, for a special talk exploring Exmoor’s rivers:

For the Love of Exmoor’s Rivers: Partners in Protection

Do you feel connected – to the moor, the wooded valleys, to the rivers of Exmoor? Dr Laurence Couldrick does, and in this talk, he will explore how this relationship, this love of place, requires action.  If we are to protect what we love, we must work together.

Drawing on over two decades of experience at Westcountry Rivers Trust, he will share stories of how they have worked to restore and care for the rivers of Exmoor.  He will explain how landscape protection isn’t just a job for scientists or regulators; it’s a team effort that includes farmers, local businesses, and everyone who enjoys Exmoor’s beauty.  You’ll hear how small changes, working with nature, can make a huge difference, and how by building trust and sharing a vision, we can create a future where Exmoor’s rivers are healthy, vibrant, and full of life.  This talk is an invitation to anyone who loves Exmoor to join in a shared effort to preserve its unique qualities for generations to come.

We look forward to seeing you there!
