Guided Walks Programme 2026

Now that our 2026 walks programme has come to a close, we wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteer walk leaders who ran an event with us this year.

And that’s a wrap! Now that our 2026 walks programme has come to a close, we wanted to say a huge thank you to all of our volunteer walk leaders who ran an event with us this year. We are incredibly grateful for their time and expertise, helping locals and visitors discover more about Exmoor’s landscapes, wildlife, and history.

Special thanks to Lisa Eden, Steve Key, Phil Gannon, Kevin Tomkins, Marion Jeffrey, Graeme McVittie and Brian Scott, along with Jackie Seward for organising the programme.

Our 2027 walks programme will launch during the spring of next year – keep an eye on The Bolve for further updates!

Huge congratulations to runner Alfie McIntosh, who donned his Exmoor Society T-shirt and completed the 50-mile ultra Salmon Run from Exmouth to Dulverton, finishing an impressive 4th overall!
Last month, The Exmoor Society was the only national park society to submit evidence to the House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee's inquiry into pet parasite treatments.  We were therefore delighted to see that the inquiry's final report urges the government to ban the general sale of these treatments and restrict availability to vets, pharmacist's and qualified professionals.
